Styling dried flowers: five combinations that always work

Dried flowers are the easiest way to add warmth to a room. They don't need water, age beautifully, and pair perfectly with the matte, earthy character of a 3D-printed vase. Still, the result comes down to the combination. These five always work.

1. Pampas with a single branch

A plume of pampas in a tall vase is enough on its own. Add a bare branch for line and you get a calm, graphic look. Choose a vase in a soft shade like off-white or sand so the flowers steal the show.

2. Play with height

Group two or three vases of different heights and distribute your dried flowers among them. The difference in height keeps it lively without becoming busy. Keep the colors of the vases in the same family for a calm look.

3. One dominant tone

Choose a dominant color, for example terracotta, and let the flowers move softly around it with beige and green tones. This keeps the whole cohesive instead of busy.

Tip: rotate your bouquet a quarter turn from time to time. This way, dried flowers get equal light on all sides and stay evenly colored.
